CONTROL OF RABBITS

REMITS FROM CONFERENCE Press Association FEILDIXG, Wednesday. A conference of North Island rabbit boards was held at Feilding today. Mr. K. W. Dalrymple presided and 35 delegates were present. The following remits were passed: That the whole of the North Island should be included in the same rabbit board area, and that the Government so enact: that no permits be issued to keep Chinchilla or Angora rabbits in rabbit board districts; that the conference favours the removal of the protection of stoats and weasels in strictly forest areas. The conference rejected a proposal that the Government subsidy be paid to a board of less than 20,000 acres, as the delegates were opposed to small boards. The following officers were elected: President, Mr. K. W. Dalrymple; vicepresident, Air. B. N. Sandilands; executive, Messrs. C. E. Johnston, F. G. Raikes, W. L. Grice.
