ROTORUA-TAUPO ROUTE Reconstruction of the Rotorua* Taupo Road has now been begun. ac» cording to a letter received by t-h* Auckland Automobile Association last evening from the Hon. W. B. Taverner, Minister of Public Works. A strey works force has been engaged, and progress will be rapid. This work was promised by the ernment when the Taupo railwift scheme was abandoned, and the rod® will bo constructed from the department’s funds, not from the Main Htgt ways’ account.
