MURDER OF REPORTER ROUSES CHICAGO BIG REWARDS OFFERED Reed. 9.5 a.m. CHICAGO, Monday. The authorities have announced that they know the murderer o£ Albert Lingle, the reporter who was shot while investigating crime. Rarely before in the history of Chicago crime has the city been so roused as over the murder of this journalist. Rewards of £B,OOO have been offered for the apprehension and conviction of the slayer, while the entire city has been organised on a great murder hunt. The police state the attorney’s private detectives and the organised power of the Press have joined to track down the killer of a man who, during 18 years’ service, came “to learn too much” about Chicago's criminals.
