i FIRST SOCIAL AND DANCE OF SEASON IS VERY SUCCESSFUL
MUSICAL PROGRAMME A most enjoyable social and dance was given by the members of the Toy Dog Club at Nairn's Tea Rooms last evening. The dance hall was attractively decorated with pale green, streamers, and in the supper room were large bowls of Iceland poppies, and pale pink streamers. Connie Howell’s Whoopee Jazz Band supplied the dance music. During the evening Airs. G. Herbert, wife of the president, was presented with- a pretty bouquet by ARs. George Hunt on behalf of the members. Items were given by Miss J. Bailey, Miss N. Lingard, Aliss.. M. Alatthews. Aliss L. Bailey acted as accompanist. Among those present were: Airs. G. Herbert, who wore a frock c-t navy blue crepe de chine, relieved with gold lace.; Airs. Norman Wade, frock of bottle-green ring velvet: Airs. Cowlev. cherry mylista embroidered in gold; Air's. George Hunt, saracen red georgette over satin; Airs. Whyman, unrelieved frock of black silk lace; Airs. Nolan, frock of sedge green silk lace, with pointed hemline; Mrs. Baggett, navy blue, relieved with fawn: All's. J. AlcGaw, ecru lace over cerise satin;- Mrs. Alalon-Howard, apricot frilled taffeta; Airs. J. Paul, blue and rose figured crepe de chine; Airs. Ireland. mist pink lace over satin: Airs.
Stanley Glyne, ankle-length frock of black georgette, with diamante ornament; Airs. Cammell, rose-beige wool georgette; ATrs. E. Blair, black taffeta embossed with gold flowers. Airs. R. Carter, who was wearing gold lace over satin: Mrs. W. Sawbridge, wbits ninon and silver lace: Airs. Hubber, sunset pink taffeta and gold lace; Mrs. Mi<chetl. lime and black patterned satin beaute; Aliss Gladys Wade, mist pink taffet and frilled tulle frock; Aliss L. Bailey, black georgette and diamante trimming; ATiss J. Bailey, frock of black satin beaute; Miss AU Lingard, tobac brown beaded crepe de chine: ATiss Olive Bra if hwajte, maize and white georgette; Aliss C. Christie, black georgette, with silver motifs; Aliss Adqane. primrose taffeta and silver lace.
