DAMAGE BY FIRE
OUTBREAK AT MASTERTON Press Association MASTERTON, Tuesday. Fire was discovered in the early hours of this morning in a block of sample rooms situated in William Street. It destroyed the room in which the outbreak occurred, together with samples belonging to Addess and Company, Dunedin. The stock of Sargood, Son and Ewen in an adjoining room was slightly damaged by smoke and water. The building, which was occupied by Mr. R. V. Hatch and owned by the estate of James Macara, was covered by a policy of £1,200 in the Standard Office.
