WOMAN BURNED TO DEATH
JACKET IGNITED BY FIRE TRAGEDY AT OAMARU Press Association OAMARU, Tuesday. Fatal burns were received by Mrs. Margaret Walker, aged 42, when her cardigan jacket caught tire on Saturday. She died in the Oamaru Hospital this evening. Mrs. Walker was warming herself in front of a fire on Saturday afternoon. when her jacket ignited. The efforts of herself and her daughter to extinguish the flames were successful only after she had been seriously burned.
