The annual meeting of the Devon Street (Anglican) parishioners was held on Friday evening, Mr. J. Halkett presiding. The financial report of the treasurer, Judge A. G. Holland, disclosed credits in all departments.. The election of officers resulted: Committee. Mesdames Holland, Carter, Plummer, Orsler, and Messrs. A. G. Holland, J. Halkett. Briscoe, A. E. Plummer, J. IT. G. Inskeep, Geo. Orsler. and W. A. Carter; secretary, Mr. W. A. Carter; treasurer. Judge A. S. Holland. Mr. A. E. Plummer was unanimously elected to represent Devon Street Tlall upon the vestry of St. Luke’s. Mr. and Mrs. Armitage, who are shortly leaving for Nelson, were the recipients of presentations. On behalf of the women’s guild, Mrs. A. G. Holland presented Mrs. Armitage with a handsome copper jardiniere. Mrs. Carter handed Mr. Armitage a smoker’s companion.
