“FARCICAL” REPORT

WAIKATO COUNTY’S HEALTH COUNCILLORS PROTEST From Our Own Correspondent HAMILTON, Today. Although the Waikato County Council has been paying £143 annually toward the Government health inspector’s expenses for more than 10 years, the first report was only forwarded today. The report said that the county was free from infectious diseases, and that the sanitary state of the area, was very satisfactory. “The county has been in that stal:e since the year one,” protested Mr. T. Hinton, the county chairman. “We pay £143 for this. I call it a shame.” Other members agreed that there was a farcical touch about the report.
