BRIDGE AFTERNOON

PLEASANT PARTY AT REMUERA Mrs. A. E. Macartney, of Norana Avenue, Kemuera, was hostess at a delightful bridge afternoon yesterday. The drawing-room was arranged with tall palms and autumn flowers. The hostess received her guests wearing black crepe de chine and georgette. The prize-winners were Mrs. Kay Stratton and Mrs. Badeley; consolation prizes, Mrs. Heath Freest and Mrs, Farquhar. Among those present were:—Mrs. Arnoldson, Mrs. Heath Freest, Mrs. Allen, Mrs. A. Andrews, Mrs. J. Johnson, Mrs. G. Proud. Mrs. Ivay Stratton, Mrs. Taylor, Mrs. A. Wright, Mrs. A. Farquhar. Mrs. ITay, Mrs. Guthrie, Mrs. W. Tugby, Mrs. W. Arey, Mrs. Badeley, Miss Bowden.
