PERSONAL.— Captain G. A. Grey is now in command of the Katoa. Captain G. B. I-loddinott is at present awaiting orders at Auckland. Captain G. W. Evans has taken command of the Kahika, and Captain W. H. D. Gardner has transferred to the command of the Waimea. Mr. N. J. Siepen is relieving Mr. T. W. White, chief officer of the Tahiti, for holidays at Sydney this trip. Mr. F. W. Gibson has been appointed chief officer of the Opihi, relieving Mr. R. Tulloch, avho is transferring to the Kanna in a similar capacity. Dir. W. A. McGarry is now chief officer of the Kaimai, having relieved Mr. J. S. Beaton for holidays. Mr. S. A. Smith is now chief officer of the Kamona. Mr. J. J. Barnard has joined the Komata as second officer. , Mr. W. M. Jackson has rejoined the Kahika as chief engineer. Mr. R. Allan is at present second officer of the Oonah. Captain C. B. Lamb is in command of the New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Rotorua, which left Southampton for Auckland on Friday. KAIRANGA FROM PORT KEMBLA.— The Kairanga left Port Ivembla at: 11 o’clock on Saturday night with a coal cargo for Auckland. She is expected to arrive next Monday. THE KARTIGI. —The Union Company's Kartigi is now loading at Adelaide and is to complete her cargo at Melbourne for discharge at Wellington. Castlecliff, New Plymouth and Auckland in that order. WAIPA HI LEAVES RAROTONGA.— The Union Company's Island steamer Waipahi left Rarotonga for Auckland at 11 o’clock on Saturday night. The vessel has a fruit cargo from Cook Islands. She is due next Monday. _ AORANGI REPORTS. —"En route from Vancouver to Sydney, the Royal Mail motor-ship Aorangi has reported by wireless that she expects to arrive at Suva nt S a.m. on Thursday, and to resume her voyage at about 2 p.m. tho sameday, sailing from there for Auckland. RADIO FROM KARAMEA. —L. D. Nathan, Limited, has received a wireless message from the Shaw Savill motor-ship Karamea, en route from Liverpool to Auckland, stating that she expects to arrive here at noon on Saturday. The vessel has a cargo of general merchandise for unloading at Auckland. Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. DAGFRED FROM LOS ANGELES.— Carrying 8,000 tons of general merchandise and lumber, the steamer Dagfred, under charter to the North Pacific Australia Line, arrived here on her maiden voyage from Los Angeles last evening. She is the first ship of this line’s contemplated service from the Pacific Coast to the Dominion, which is expected to be a six-weekly one. Leaving Los Angeles on May 9, the vessel cleared Noumea on May 31, and experienced fine weather and smooth running all the way. After unloading 300 tons of cargo at Auckland, it is hoped to dispatch her at noon tomorrow for Newcastle-, Sydney. Melbourne, and Adelaide. T:> command of the vessel is Captain T. Nielson. THE KAIWARRA. —The Union Company advises that its collier Kaiwarra is to load at Newcastle tomorrow for Auckland. ARGYLLSHIRE REPORTED. —Inward bound from Liverpool, the New Zealand Shipping: Company’s steamer Argyllshire cleared Balboa, on Sunday. She is expected to reach Auckland on June 28. THE MAUI POM A RE. —The Government motor-ship Maui Pomare is to sail from Auckland for Niue Island ami Apia (Samoa) next Tuesday. Her local agent is Spedding Limited. CANADIAN CONSTRUCTOR.—The Canadian National Steamship Company'.-; vessel Canadian Constructor is expected to leave for Wellington, Lyttelton. Timaru and Dunedin tomorrow evening for further discharge ot' cargo from Halifax. TAMAROA LEAVES BALBOA. —Cabled advice has been received by the Shaw. Savill Company that the liner Tamaroa, en route from London and Southampton, cleared Balboa on Thursday evening last for Wellington and Lyttelton. She is due at Wellington on June 24. THE ILVINGTON COURT. —Spedding. Ltd., advises that the steamer Ilvingtori Ceurt, after having completed discharge of her raw sugar cargo, is to sail p.m. on Thursday for Westport for bunkers, and to load a coal cargo for Papeete, l'l-om Papeete she proceeds to Makatea Island to load phosphates for Australia. NORFOLK AT CENTRAL. —The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Federal steamer Norfolk, now at Central Wharf loading for London and W est Coast L nited Kingdom ports is to sail on Thursday for Tokomaru Bay to continue filling up. HUNTINGDON COMPLETING.—Having cleared Gisborne at midnight last night for this port, to complete her cargo for New York, Halifax and London, the federal steamer Huntingdon is expected to arrive here early tomorrow morning. She will berth at Queen’s Wharf to load under the- agency of the New Zealand Shipping Company, which hopes to dispatch her on her Homeward voyage on Monday next. TURAKINA'S MOVEMENTS. The New Zealand Shipping Company's Turakma arrived at Port Chalmers on Saturday afternoon from Oamaru for further loading. She will suhsenuentlv load at Timaru. Wanganui and 'Wellington, and is scheduled to sail finally from Wellington on June 1J for London, via the Panama Canal. , THE WESTMORELAND.—Reported to have reached Colon on Thursdav tim federal Line steamer Westmoreland is en route from Glasgow to New Zealand m ballast to load for London. Avo.imouth, Liverpool, Manchester and Glasgow Her loading ports are New Plvmouth, Opua, Auckland, Gisborne Napier and Wellington. The vessel is due at New Plymouth on June 2$ and at Auckland on July T. Stic is scheduled to clear Wellington for London on July ly.
