SKIDDED UNDER CAR

MOTOR-CYCLIST INJURED After falling when his motor-cycle skidded, Mr. Herbert Tanner, aged 19, of Bollard Avenue, Mount Albert, was run over by an overtaking car. The accident occurred on the New North Road, at Morningside, yesterday morning. Mr. Tanner had passed the car near Salisbury Road. When the cycle skidded on the greasy concrete the rider was thrown in front of the car, which was driven by Mr. W. J. Whltford, Roslyn Terrace, Mount Albert. Mr. Tanner was attended by Dr. G. Lindsay, of Morningside, and was later taken to the Auckland Hospital, suffering from internal injuries. His condition this morning was improved.
