LEAKAGES AND SEEPAGE through the hillside separating the penstock intakes and the big power-house at the Arapuni electric-power station are causing grave concern. This view of the power-house site, taken before the building was erected, shows the point (marked by an arrow) above the roadway where the worst of the leaks is finding an outlet. Several seepages have been observed on the cliff-face at the back of the excavation which was made to provide the site for the power-house.
