TENNIS DANCE HALLYBURTON JOHNSTONE CLUB TROPHIES PRESENTED The Hullyburton Johnstone SpcrU Club Pavilion, Point Chevalier, presented a gay scene on Saturday evening when the members of the Hallyturton Johnstone Tennis Club held a dance in conjunction with their first trophy presentations. The club’s colours. maroon and white, were used to decorate both the hall and supper room. Splendid music was supplied by Miss V. Dean's Gaiety Girls’ Orchestra. The club’s patron, Mr. J. S. Fle!cher, M.P., presented the trophies j won during the summer season. In ! well-chosen word, Mr. Feitcher congratulated the winners, also the club i on the rapid progress it had made. The trophies were won by the following:— The Bruce racquet, women's handicap singles, Mrs. Oldfield; the HsUiyLurtcn Johnstone silver cup, men’s handicap singles, Mr. Forrest: the Sehade chair, married couples’ handicap doubles, Mr. and Mrs. Forrest: rren's handicap doubles, Messrs. A. Hole at their residence, Remuera Road, on Saturday night. Airs. Hole received her guests wearing black charmeuse, with sequinnea bridge coat. She was assisted by her daughter, Mrs. H. Elmeley, who ws~ attired in an ankle-length frock of ci* l blue silk. The prizewinners were Airs. HuyDuffin, Airs. J. Elmsley, and Air. Kinmmont. Among those present were: Airs.
