Notice is hereby given that the Papatoetoe Town Board, pursuant to its powers under “The Municipal Corporations Act 1920,” “The Rating Act 1925” and their respective amendments and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, intends on TUESDAY, June 24, 1930, to make and levy for the year ending March 31, 1931. the following rates upon the Unimproved Value of all rateable property as appearing in the Valuation Roll for the time being in force in the Papatoetoe Town District to be payable in one sum to the undersigned at the Town Board Office, Shirley Road, Papatoetoe. on August 14, 1930. | 1. A general rate of threepence halfpenny in the pound. 2. A special rate of two and oneeighth of a penny in the pound to provide interest and sinking fund charges for loans totalling £57,050. 3. A separate rate of five-eighths of a penny in the pound to provide the levy made by the Aucklahd Hospital and Charitable Aid Board. All to be levied on the Unimproved Value of all Rateable property within the Papatoetoe Town District. 4. Water rate—(a) In respect of the ordinary supply upon all lands and buildings to which water is supplied, a rate of one-fifty-third (1-53) of a penny in the pound with a minimum charge of Ten shillings. (b) Non-consumer’s rate upon all lands and buildings to which water can be, but is not supplied, situate within 100 yards from any part of the waterworks at a rate of a one-hun-dred-and-sixth (1-106) of a penny in the pound being onehalf of the abovementioned rate with a minimum charge of Five shillings. 5. A special rate of one-twelfth (1-12) of a penny in the pound upon the Unimproved Value of all rateable property in the Papatoetoe Hall Loan Special Rating Area. 6. A special rate of one-fifteenth of a penny in the pound upon the Unimproved Value of all rateable property in the Tamaki Road Loan Special Rating Area. 7. A special rate of one-farthing in the pound upon the Unimproved Value of all rateable property in the Mangere Road Loan Special Rating Area. A rebate of five per centum will be allowed on all rates paid on or before August 31, 1930 . The Rate Book, Valuation Roll and Estimates on which the above rates have been made may be inspected during office hours at the Town Board Office, Shirley Road. Papatoetoe.
