FIRE NEAR PAEROA

MONEY LOST IN FLAMES From Our Own Correspondent PAEROA, Friday. A six roomed residence at Rotokohu, was destroyed by fire on Wednesday morning. The building was owned and occupied by Mr. J. R. Brown. On bearing a noise he went into the kitchen to investigate, and found the place a mass of flames, and he had to escape through the window. Although the house was 30 years old it was in good condition, and the only insurance was £l5O, in the Nortii British Insurance Company. Mr. Brown is a heavy loser, for besides losing the furniture and personal effects, he lost a large sum of money.
