TWO FAVOURITE FLOWERS

Among old-time flowers overlooked in modern gardens are salpiglossls and candytuft; yet for gorgeous display and indoor decoration they are excellent.

Salpiglossis grows to about two feet and its bell-shaped flowers are wonderfully streaked and mottled. Candytuft makes a splendid edging to higher plants; it grows to only 12 inches high, carries fine spikes of white, purple, pink and red blooms, and if kept from seeding will bear flowers for months.

Both need rich soil to produce their best. The seed can be sown in a glass frame or boxes early in July.
