EVENING CEREMONY
BRIDE CARRIES PINK AND WHITE CARNATIONS DORMER—PEARSON Miss Dorothy Pearson, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Pearson, of Gibraltar Crescent, Parnell, was married on Wednesday evening in St. Mary’s Cathedral, Parnell, to Mr. Leonard Dormer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dormer, of St. Luke’s Road, Mount Albert. The ceremony was performed by Canon W. Fancourt, and Mr. Pearson gave his daughter away.
The bride’s pretty white frock was of satin and georgette, with yoke of silver lace. Her train length veil of brussels net was arranged with a coronet of orange blossoms, and she carried a bouquet of pink and white carnations.
Miss Mavis Saunders and Miss I-lazel Callender were in attendance as bridesmaids, and they chose frocks of apple green and pale pink respectively. They were similarly made with close-fitting bodices and full skirts frilled to the ankles. Their head bandeaux of silver lame were finished with rhinestones, and they carried shower bouquets of Iceland poppies, jonquils and sweet peas.
Mr. Norman Saunders was best man, and Mr. William Clark attended as groomsman.
