Matheson Lang May Make a New Talkie

Matheson Lang, the well-known English actor-producer, who is at present in the midst of a successful London season of “Jew Suss,” may make a talkie of his stage success, “Carnival.” In the course of a letter written to the Auckland actor, Mr. Shayle Gardner, while the latter was in Hollywood, Matheson Lang expressed his admiration for talkies and gave it as his opinion that “Carnival,” which he made as a silent picture some time ago, would be excellent material for the speaking screen. If he decides to carry out the idea it is almost certain that “Carnival” will be remade at Elstree.
