A SLIGHT MISTAKE
LOVER CAPTURES GRANDMOTHER Three brothers, who planned to kidnap a beautiful young girl in Rastovath village, near Prokupje, Balkan States, recently had an unpleasant surprise. The youngest of the brothers had fallen in love with the granddaughter of a peasant woman. As the old woman refused to consent to marriage the brothers resolved to abduct the girl.
They climbed through the girl’s bedroom window, flung a blanket over the occupant of the bed and stifled her cries by rolling her up in her own blankets and mattress. Then they carried her to their own home. The enamoured young brother uncovered the face of the victim and saw the rage-convulsed features of the girl’s grandmother. The men fled, but were arrested later.
