CHORAL SOCIETY

“ELIJAH" ON THURSDAY The Auckland Choral Society has announced its first concert of the 1930 season, to be given in the Town Hall on Thursday, June 12. Mendelssohn’s sublime oratorio “Elijah” will be presented with special soloists and a full chorus orchestra under the baton of Mr. Colin Muston. For the presentation of “Elijah” the society has engaged Madame Dorothy Cronin, F.T.C.L., to sing the soprano solos; also Miss Irene Frost, contralto. Miss Lillian Woods, mezzo-soprano. Mr! Roger Errington, tenor, and Mr. Barry Coney, baritone.

The box plan opens at Strong's on Monday morning.
