SUNSHINE APPEAL

The street collection taken up last Friday on behalf of the Community Sunshine Association resulted in the sum of £1,270 Ss 2d being raised. The expenses attached to the collection will be less than £2O. No fewer than 30,000 artificial forget-me-nots were sold. This was made possible, says Mrs. N. E. Ferner, president of the association, through the generosity of several business firms and of a willing band of women, working under the direction of Mrs. Nielsen. Great praise was also due to the large number of collectors who responded to the appeal and to the public spirited-* , ness of the citizens who contributed.
