Wellington’s Effort Wellington activities during Music Week include concerts by a symphony orchestra of 70 instruments, under Mr. De Maunay; Bach’s “Peasant Cantata," by the smaller choral societies; parts I. and 11. of “Hiawatha,” by the Royal Choral Union, under Mr. John Bishop; parts I. and 11. of “The Creation,” by the Festival Chorus; children's concert and a massed concert by all the adult societies, including Sullivan’s “Festival Te Deum,” under Mr. Temple White; Beethoven’s “F,mperor” concerto; and the “Hallelujah Chorus.” Various organ recitals will also be given, and community singing will also be a daily feature during the week.
