SHEEP-FARMER’S DEATH
FOUND SHOT ON STATION TRAGEDY IN HAWKE’S BAY Press Association HASTINGS, Today. Mr. William Van Ascii, aged 63, married, with a grown-up family, a well-known Hawke’s Bay pastoralist, was found dead this morning at his homestead, Craggy Range, near Havelock North, with a shot-gun grasped in his hand and the back of his; head blown away. An inquest will be held tomorrow.
