ROAD CYCLING
AUCKLAND CLUB’S RACE An unpaced test over 3 3 miles was held by the Auckland Cycle Club yesterday. the race being the first "held on tho club's new course. The riders were sent off at intervals of one minute. The race was won by A. Ritchie, the well-known Canterbury rider. The times of the first five riders to complete the 13 miles were as follow: A. Ritchie, 3Sm 27 2 -ss; K. J. Math - Ic-son, 40m 21s; W. Mathieson. 40m 50 3-ss: L. Pinfold. 41m 13 2-ss; L. Hall, 44m 33 2-ss. The placed men in the sealed handicap. which was run in conjunction wdth the event, were as follow: —W. Mathieson. 3m, 1; L. Hall, 6m 15s. 2: A. Ritchie, scr, 3; K. J. Mathieson. lm 30s. 4.
