MUNN TO APPEAL
admissibility of some EVIDENCE CASE TO BE STATED It ha« now been definitely stated that the admissibility of certain evidence called in the trial of Arthur Thomas Munn, who on Tuesday of last week was sentenced to death for the murder of his wife, will be referred to the Court of Appeal. During this trial certain evidence yaa objected to by counsel for the accused. After hearing argument, his Honour Mr. Justice Herdman refused to admit some evidence tendered by the Crown, but admitted certain other evidence, stating he would, if necessary, reserve the question of its admissibility for the consideration of the Court of Appeal. A case will accordingly be stated by his Honour, and this matter will be disposed of at the pext sitting of the Court of Appeal. The Court of Appeal sitting commences in Wellington on June 24.
