THE VOCALION RECORD.— The Vocalion Record is already highly popular amongst music-lovers in England and Australia, and when the forward policy of the Directors to reduce the price from 4/- to 2/6 becomes known, this popularity will be materially increased. THE VOCALION FACTORY—ANNUAL OUPUT CAPACITY 4,000,000 RECORDS. —The company’s factory is centrally situated in Melbourne and is a large modern brick building which houses plant and machinery capable of producing 4,000,000 records per annum. The lay-out, complying with Australian conditions, offers every facility for the production of gramaphones, gramaphone records, and radio sets equal in quality to those produced by the Vocalion factory in England. MANAGEMENT. —The services of Mr. CHARLES LESLIE KEMPTON, C.8.E., Managing Director of Vocalion (Foreign) Ltd., have been secured as Joint Managing Director, and he will arrive in Australia early in June to take up his duties. Mr. MAURICE ROSENTHAL, for many years associated with the successful distribution of gramaphone records throughout Australia, and recently Joint Managing Director of Picot Rosenthal Pty., Ltd., will join the Company as General Manager. Mr. CHARLES GENDLE, originally sent out to Australia by the Vocalion Gramaphone Co., Ltd., to establish and control the present factory, will join the Company as Production Manager and Technical Expert. Sectional experts have also been transferred from the Vocalion Factory in England to the factory in Melbourne. RECORDING STUDIO. —The large recording studio the company is situated in Melbourne and is thoroughly equipped with the latest apparatus for recording every type of music and sound by the Marconi Process of electrical recording, operated under an exclusive licence from the Marconi Wireless and Telegraph Co., Ltd., London.
