WAIKATO SHOW

SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION ENDS From Our Own Correspondent HAMILTON, Tuesday. The Waikato Winter Show was brought to a successful conclusion this evening. The gate receipts for the day were £568, as against £641 taken on the King’s Birthday last year. The total for the seven days of the show this year was £2,410, the amount for the six days of the previous show being £2,520. At the closing ceremony this evening, Mr. J. R. Fow, Mayor of Hamilton, and president of the Waikato Winter Show Association, said the success of the show was very gratifying. The amount of money taken was only a little short of last year’s total, and that was a record.
