FINANCIAL POSITION DISCUSSED DAILY MEETINGS HELD Press Association WELLINGTON, Today. Cabinet had another long sitting yesterday morning and. according to present arrangements, there will be meetings every day this week with the exception of today, the King’s birthday. When inter.dewed after yesterday’s meeting the 1 rime Minister, the Hon. G. W. Forbes, said that Cabinet had devoted the morning to a detailed survey of the country’s financial position. He was not able to make any announcement regarding the decisions reached, but the results of their labours would be known when the Government submitted its legislation to Parliament. It is understood that Cabinet discussed ways and means of cutting down expenditure, and it is stated that this year’s Estimates will bear evidence of a liberal use of the pruning knife.
