Mr. Harold Howes arrived in Auckland from Sydney by the Maunganui this morning. Mr. J. A. Young, M.P. for Hamilton, was a passenger to Frankton on the Limited this morning. The Hon. A. J. Stallworthy, Minister of Health, was a passenger on the Limited this morning. Mr. R. K. Wylie returned to Auckland by the Niagara yesterday after a business trip to Sydney. Mr. W. Ingle, New Zealand manager for C. C. Wakefield, Limited, is at the Hotel Cargen. Mr. Charles Todd, of Dunedin, general manager of Todd Motors, Limited, is at the Grand Hotel. Sir William Hall-Jones, M.L.C.. who has been visiting Auckland, leaves for Helensville tomorrow. Me returns to Auckland next week. Dr. Allan Knight, who lias been abroad for nine months, returned to Auckland by the Maunganui this morning. Mr. H. E. Skinner, a well-known Dunedin business man, returned from Sydney this morning by the Maunganui. Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Low, who have been visiting Australia, returned to Auckland this morning by the Maunganui. Judge F. O. V. Achesor, of the Native Land Court, was a passenger from Auckland on the Limited last eveningMr. Hector MacQuarrie, who toured Australia by car and later visited the Fast, returned by the Maunganui this morning. Mr. G. L. Fox, manager for the New Zealand Insurance Company in Tokyo, Japan, is proceeding to England on holiday leave. Ho was a through passenger to Vancouver by the Niagara. Mr. S F. Ward, a retired Australian grazier, was a passenger lor Auckland this morning by the Maunganui. He will spend a holiday in the Dominion. Mr. K. C. Aekins, who was formerly associate to Sir William Sim, was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court yesterday by Mr. Justice Herdrnan. on the motion of Mr. Trevor* E. Henry Mr. IT. F. Ayson, resident commissioner of the Cook Islands at Rarotonga, arrived at Wellington yesterday by the Tahiti. He is accompanied bX-Miss M. Ayson, and will remain in New Zealand for three months on special Land Court work. Mr. R. D. Holt, of Liverpool, senior partner of Alfred Holt and Company, managers of the Blue Funnel Line, left today by the Niagara for Vancouver. Mj-. Holt is on a six months’ tour of the world and spent a fortnight in New Zealand, visiting his brother, Mr. E. D. Tlolt, of Napier. Mr. Cyril Ward, Mr. Gladstone Ward and Mr. Pat Ward, sons of Sir Joseph Ward, who have been at Rotorua during the illness of Sir Joseph, booked through from Frankton Junction to the South on the Limited last evening. Mr. W. L. Ward, general manager of the Bank of Australasia and chairman Of the associated banks, returned to Auckland this morning by the Maunganui after spending a holiday in Australia. Ho was accompanied by Mrs. Ward. Mr. John A. Brown, managing director of Methvens, Ltd., Dunedin, and Mr. J. A. Brown, ,iunr., are visiting Auckland on business.
