Hinemoa Street. FAREWELL BRIDGE PARTY Miss Jean Pearce gave a progressive bridge party at her residence, Fenton Street, Rotorua, on Thursday evening in honour of M iss V. Steele, who is shortly j leaving on a trip to the United j States. j Mrs. A. Brown wore black georgette sand Miss J. Pearce received her guests ! wearing a pink beaded georgette frock and oriental bridge coat. The bridge and supper rooms were decorated with calendulas and chrysanthemums in autumn shades. The winners were: Miss J. Drummond, Mr. A. Rees-George and Mr. B. Duncan won the consolation prize. Among those present were: Misses J. Drummond, M. Cooney, V. Holland, M. Dannefaerd. L. Mrs. Rickard received her guests wearing a navy and fawn crepe de chine ensemble. Miss Hazel Rickard wore an uneven hemline frock of flame taffeta.
