DRAMATIC FINISH TO “DAILY CHRONICLE” LIBERAL FORCES COMBINE Reed. 10.5 a.m LONDON, Sunday. The "News of the World” learns that negotiations have been completed for the purchase of the . “Daily Chronicle” by the “Daily News.” The “Daily Chronicle’s” disappearance leaves the “Daily News” the only Liberal London morning- paper. Its cessation was dramatically sudden. The staff was unaware as late as Saturday, while the usual preparations were going on for the production of Monday’s paper. It is pointed out that negotiations were completed only 4S hours ago.

The remarkable success of the new “Daily Herald” is believed .to be largely responsible for Liberalism combining the two newspapers.
