NINETEEN HURT
RECORD IN THAMES RUGBY MATCH AMBULANCE KEPT BUSY First-aid men attending the inter-club football at Thames on Saturday were called upon to treat 19 men in the one game. This is considered a record. Corbett, of Plikutaia, was taken to the hospital suffering - from concussion. None of the remaining 18 players was seriously hurt. The gome, which was between Old Boys and Physical Training, ended in a draw. It was keenfought, but unmarred by any unpleasant incident HAMILTON ACCIDENT
Through colliding with another player while playing as fullback for Technical Old Boys in its match against City at Rugby Park, Hamilton, on Saturday, Mr. Gilbert Johnstone, aged 22, of Firth Street, Hamilton East, received a fracture of the right leg. He was removed to the Waikato JTospial by the St. John Ambulance. His condition is satisfactory.
A broken collarbone was received by Mr. A. G. M. Callender, of Maranui Avenue, while playing in a League
match for the Point Chevalier team or Saturday. After treatment at the hospital he was allowed to go home.
