Dancing at Dixieland
Brigh t Ca baret Even ing Dixieland was a popular rendezvous on Saturday evening - , when numbers of dancers journeyed out to the cabaret to dance to the splendid music provided by Mr. Harry Xcilson and the Dixieland Land. AMONG THE DANCERS Mrs. H. R. Burrett wore a frock of pointsettia red georgette with silver beaded embroideries. Mrs. A. S. Miller was gowned in black lace with a blue, gold and black brocaded metal cloth wrap. Mrs. Alan Donald was wearing a striking frock of lacquer red ring velvet with black relief. ~ , , Mrs. Goodfellow had on a gown of black fish .net and taffeta. Mrs. G. M. Barclay was in blue chenille embossed georgette. Mrs. A. Bartley’s frock was of wattle yellow and bronze gros-grain taffeta. Mrs. Hopkins was wearing a bronze chiffon velvet frock. Ivory and cherry sprigged taffeta was chosen bv Mrs. Greenberry. alias Olga Birch was wearing gold lace over copper coloured chiffon. Miss Gwen Nailec was frocked in ivory moire, appliqued with silver roses. Miss Mavis Houghton was m nymph green taffeta, with shoulder spray to tone. , _ , Miss J. Marsh wore a burgundy red chenille embossed georgette frock. Miss Rita Bong was in a slim-nttmg frock of silver paillettes. Miss Bay Miller’s smart frock was of black net appliqued with black velvet. Miss Rita Cornaga wore a frock of eideiwiss blue chiffon with pointed dl Miss ie Kathleen "Wells wore eammellia pink brocaded lame and bouffant skirt ot pink tulle. „ „ . Miss B. Suter s frock was ot cuban orange taffeta and black net. Miss Alfreda Suter was wearing a beaded georgette frock of deep Chinese red with shadow hem of tulle. Miss Betty Colwill’s pretty trock was of uhlox pink faille with flounced skirt. Miss Olive Bickerton was smanij • gowned in black chantilb lace. „ ! Miss Ren nick was wearing a bouffant 1 frock of pale rose and silver gros-grain 1 taffeta. Miss Thompson was wearing a frociv of black chiffon. Miss K. Dunnett's green crepe de chine frock was embroidered with silver and green beads. . Miss Robson was smartly gowned m J. BaiUie wore parchment coloured lace and finely pleated net. Miss Rona Suisted wore a lime-green ring velvet frock with bouffant skirt of matching tulle. Miss Edna Craig wore a distinctive frock of cherry lace. Miss G. Blackwell’s flowered chiffon frock was of pretty autumn tomngs. Miss Woodward had on a cuban orange georgette frock. Miss Esther White was wearing a frock of white and blue flowered taffeta. Miss Power’s frock was of printemps green brocaded taffeta. Miss K. Mac Lean’s gown was of am-ber-coloured georgette and gold tissue. Miss McFarland was wearing a gown of black faille. . , Miss C. Knox wore an ivory lace frock over pale daffodil yellow satin beaute. Miss Marv Stewart’s ecru lace frock was relieved with a sash of lacquer red C \liss Buchanan was gowned in palest citronne crepe de soie. Miss A. Salmon wore a bronze and gold tissue frock. Miss Reed’s l'rock of pale pink taffeta was relieved with silver. Miss Linda De Renzy was wearing a black crepe de soie frock with pointed draperies. Miss Doris Tills was frocked in ivory taffeta sprigged with pale yellow and Gros-grain taffeta in tones of mistblue and silver was chosen by Miss Edna Rhodes. Miss B. Shenkin was wearing pink net with swathed satin sash. Miss D. Mills was in a gown of cloth i of silver with corsage spray of scarlet flowers.
