About .1,000 visitors attended the garden party for employees of business firms given by their Excellencies the Governor-General and Lady Bledisloe at Government House on Saturday afternoon. Lord and Lady Bledisloe stood near the front door to receive the guests, and as the afternoon was fine most of the time was spent in the grounds. Mrs. B. Hume, of Auckland, is a visitor to Hamilton. Mrs. Kent-Johnston, of Hamilton, is on a visit to Auckland. Miss Vera Hay, of Grafton Load, lias returned from a visit to Rotorua. Miss Muriel Prosser, of Auckland, is the guest of Mrs. H. Valder, Claudelands. Miss Burns, of Christchurch, is on a visit to Auckland and is staying at Glenalvon. Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Riches, of Switzerland, are among the guests at the Star Hotel. Dr. and Mrs. F. Fitcliett have returned to Auckland from a brief visit to Rotorua.
Mrs. G. Haggitt and Miss O. Haggitt, of Palmerston North, are on a visit to Auckland.
Miss V. Peterson, who lias been on a visit to Auckland, has returned to Havelock North.
Mrs. J. O’Sullivan, of Te Awamutu, Is visiting her mother, Mrs. F. McGovern. Kemuera.
Aliss D. Ar. Muir, of Wellington, is visiting Auckland and is staying at Hotel Stonehurst.
Air. and Airs. R. Soloman, of Sydney, and Airs. P. Carter, of Frankton. are tit the Royal Hotel.
Airs. Rosa Dickenson, who lias been visiting Christchurch, is now the guest of Airs. G. Loveridge, New Plymouth.
Air. and Mrs. J. F. Jeune, of Gisborne, and Air. and Airs. H. AlcLareu, of Masterton, are guests at the Central Hotel.
Air. and Airs. Donald Buckley, of Wellington, leave by the Niagara on Tuesday for a visit to Honolulu anu Vancouver.
Airs. Guthrie, of Wellington, arrived ir. Auckland at the week-end and will leave by the Niagara for Vancouver to visit her son.
Airs. Hughes Jones, of Otahuhu, is visiting Auckland, and is the guest of Mrs. H. S. Dudley, of Glenfern, Symonds Street.
Mr. and Airs. H. McKail Geddes, Lucerne Road, who have been visiting relatives in Melbourne, returned to Auckland this morning by the Niagara.
Airs. W. L. Lowrie, wife of the American Consul-General to New Zealand, left with Air. Lowrie by the Alataroa on Saturday from Wellington on a four months’ visit to the United States.
