AUCKLAND BASEBALLERS

FIRST HOME RUN SCORED A baseball match was played at ihe New Zealand Breweries’ reserve in Khyber Pass on Saturday. Teams were picked by C. McLeod and C. H. Bensel, and nine innings were played. The game ended with even scores. Ence scored a home run, and several players showed excellent form. With a little more practice, players will soon be able to give a fair display of the game.
