TO SING FOR IYA
SYDNEY SINGER ARRIVES His repertoire consisting of English. Italian. Hebrew, and Russian songs. Barend Harris, the popular Sydney bass vocalist, arrived in Auckland by the Niagara this morning contract to the New Zealand Broadcasting Company. He is to broadcast from IYA Auckland and 2YA Wellingt- r.. Air. Harris has been for many years on the stage in Sydney and Melbourne. where he was under contract to J. C. Williamson, Ltd., and the Australian Broadcasting Company. While in Auckland he intends to confine his efforts to the singing of popular songs and Hebrew melodies It is also his intention while in the Dominion to add various Maori songs to his repertoire.
