MUNICIPAL CONCERT

TOWN HALL TONIGHT This evening in the Town Hall the Municipal Band presents a popular “classics” programme. Beethoven will be represented by the andante con moto and the finale from the Fifth Symphony, the great G minor; Weber by his wonderful “Oberon” overture and his charming “Invitation a la Valse”; Schubert by his “Serenade” and Impromptu, op. 142, No. 2; Liszt by his Sixth Rhapsody; a selection from "The Valkyrie” will represent Wagner; and a march from the opera “Idomenio” is a typical example of Mozart. Songs will be contributed by Miss Nellie Lingard, and instrumental solos by Messrs. Bowes and Purchase
