LEAVING FOR HONOLULU Mrs. Bessie Le Cowie, who has been one of the most prominent temper a nee workers in Auckland for years, has decided to leave New Zealand to reside in Honolulu for health reasons Mrs. Cowie is president of the Auckland branch of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union and the Band of Hope Union, and is connected with the New Zealand Alliance and other organisations. Mrs. Cowie has taken a prominent part in many campaigns on behalf of prohibition in New Zealand, and is well-known as a public speaker She has conducted regular open-air meetings on Sunday afternoons in Quay Street for many years. She will be given a farewell by the temperance organisations of the city in the Town Hall concert chamber tomorrow afternoon, when she will give an address.
