The Mount Eden Fire Brigade received a call to a fire which broke out in a detached building at a house at 72 Valley Road, Mount Eden, at about 11 o’clock last evening. The flames were quickly extinguished and the outbreak was confined to the building, which is used as a bedroom. The bed was destroyed. The house is occupied by Miss Stewart.
