TAUMARUNUI WEDDING

SATIN AND DIAMENTE BLENNERHASSET—HAY The Taumarunui Presbyterian Church was very prettily decorated by friends of the bride for the wedding of Mary, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Hay, of “Glencairn,” Owhango, and Raymond Blennerhasset, younger son of Mrs. B. Blennerhasset, of Kaipara Flats. The bride was given away by her father, and wore a delightful dress of ivory satin beaute, with sleeves of embossed chenille georgette. The frock was draped on the left side, and finished with a diamente buckle. The veil, of embroidered silk net, was arranged with a coronet of orange blossom. A bouquet of flowers and ferns completed a charming ensemble.

The bridesmaid was Miss Rita Robinson, of Taihape, who wore a pretty frock of apricot satin beaute, with flared drapings, and diamente buckle on the shoulder. A silk crinoline hat to tone, and a sheaf of matching chrysanthemums, completed the dress.

The service was performed by the Rev. J. E. Ward. Mr. Leatham, of Ohakune, was best man, and Mrs. Bowler, of Matamata, sister of the bride, played the incidental music. To receive her guests at the wedding breakfast, Mrs. Hay wore a mushroom shaded celanese silk frock, with fox fur, and mole hat. Mrs. Blennerhasset, the bridegroom’s mother, was in black silk, with lace scarf and hat to match. Both carried sprays of chrysanthemums. The bride travelled in a frock of bottle green, with trimmings of fawn, and a fawn felt helmet hat, and fox fur.
