WOMEN’S COMMITTEE ARRANGES DANCE Promoted by the women’s committee of the Takapuna Boating Club, a, most enjojable.dance was held at the clubhouse. Bays water, last evening. The hall was artistically decorated, a feature being the soft lighting effects, which were under the control of Air. Frank Skerritt. Mrs. Laurence's Repasz Trio played all the latest numbers in dance tunes, and a dainty supper was served by the committee. Those present includedAirs. R. Norman Smith, frock of shaded green georgette: Miss K. Williams, black satin with blue and silver lace flares; Aliss Doris AlcKee, emerald green taffeta; Airs. B. J. Findlay, scarlet chenille georgette; Miss Jessie Nicholson, figured georgette; Aliss Louie Nicholson, figured silk rayon; Miss AI. Patterson, ivory georgette; Miss Pickworth, cherry satin with black fringed wrap; Aliss Inez Tucker, ivory satin beaute; Airs. L. Grey, almond-green crepe de chine; Mrs. S. R. Blackwell, apricot, taffeta; Aliss _R. Alurphv, rose pink taffeta; Airs. Xoonan, reseda green crepe de chine: Miss Wall, silver lace over pink taffeta: Aliss L. WOMEN'S PROGRESS CLUB A PRESENTATION The Women’s Progress Club held its weekly meeting yesterday afternoon. An address was given by Airs. Alore, vice-president, on "Mastery.” During the afternoon Mrs. Silcock, president, in a happy little speech presented Airs. Pat Reason, a loyal and hard-working member of the club, who is leaving to take up her residence in Wellington, with an illuminated address suitably inscribed on behalf of the officers of the club; also a handsome purse and bouquet from the members. Alusic and afternoon tea were dispensed. and brought to a close a very enjoyable afternoon. Among those present were: Mrs. Patterson was in vieux rose satin; Aliss D. Patterson, apricot jersey velour; Miss L. McManara, nile green georgette; Miss G. Flyger, flame georgette; Miss A.
