CHARGE OF STEALING 3 7 “My solicitor is in Taumarunui.” explained Ernest Richard McDowell, alias Dowell, a dealer, aged 53, at the Police Court this morning - when he was charged with stealing 3s 7d from James Rainsby Shannin, yesterday. A remand was granted until Monday and bail was fixed in one surety of £lO. On a charge of stealing a brief bag, a bunch of keys and £1 12s in money, of a total value of £2, and belonging to Frederick Arthur Hiotzel, on May 11, Lucy Emma Walker, who appeared on summons, was granted an adjournment until Wednesdaj'.
