The second round of the president’s handicap match play tournament of the Maungakiekie Ladies' Golf Club must be completed by June 4, and the third round by June 11. A bogey handicap match will be held next Wednesday for trophies presented by Mrs. A. C. McArthur.

The second round of the C grade eclectic match will be held tomorrow, commencing at 10 a.m., players to choose their own partners. COUNCIL PALMERSTON NORTH GETS CHAMPIONSHIP MEET KIRK-WINDEYER CUP RULES A special meeting of the Council of the New Zealand Golf Association was held on May 26. when there were present: fc>ir Alexander Roberts, chairman, and Messrs. W. A. Kielv, A. D. S. Duncan. M. J. Crombie. Colonel R. O. Chesney and G. O. Sutton, secretary. An apology for unavoidable absence was received from Mr. L. O. H. Tripp. It was unanimously resolved, after very full consideration, that the 393 y championship meeting be played on the Manawatu Golf Club’s links, Palmerston North, in October. A set of proposed rules for future Kirk-Windeyer Cup competitions was submitted by Sir Alexander Roberts and Mr. M. J. Crombie, and after slight amendments were approved of and ordered to be forwarded to Australia for approval of Mr. W. A. Windeyer and the Australian authorities. As soon as the rules are definitely agreed to by all parties, they will be circulated to the Press. THAMES From Our Otcn Correspondent THAMES, Today. During the match Miss Aldred earned the distinction of holing out in one at the short third hole.
