FAMILY’S NARROW ESCAPE

FIRE DAMAGES HOUSE Press Association WELLINGTON, Tuesday. A fire broke out in a five-roomed liouso in King s Road, Lower Hutt, at 3.55 a.m. today. Mr. S. Langridge and his wife and children just managed to escape in their night attire. Two of the rooms were completely gutted, and the others were damaged. The cause of the outbreak is believed to have been a, defective chimney. The house was owned by Mr. J. O’Brien.
