FEEDER BUS SERVICE

PROTEST FROM WATERVIEW A protest against the inconvenience of the feeder bus service now in operation in the Avondale district, was made by the Rev. Mr. Goldthorpe, vicar of the Avondale Anglican Church, at the quarterly meeting of the Waterview Ratepayers’ and Residents’ Association, held last evening. The meeting passed the following resolution:—“That this meeting of Waterview residents, being dissatisfied with the feeder bus system of transport, now in operation, strongly protests to the Transport Board against the inconvenient and inefficient feeder bus service, and demands a through bus service at all hours, or that the board hand over the service to the private bus company now operating to Henderson and passing through Waterview.”

A vote of thanks was accorded the secretary for his efforts in the association’s behalf.
