NO SUPPER

TROUBLE IN COUNCIL

Press Association, CHRISTCHURCH, Today, Only four City Councillors partook of the Mayoral hospitality at supper after tho council meeting last night, owing to a “breeze” during the business done in committee. The trouble was caused through the carrying of a motion by Cr. Armstrong earlier in the evening, that a committee be set up to ascertain the views of council employees on the Question of introducing a 40-hour week. Certain councillors, it is understood, were told by the Mayor, the Rev. ,T. K. Archer, that he did not wish them to be his guests that night.
