Jennins, and Aliss Poole, of Auckland, who was visiting her sister. Airs. I). Lundon, Cambridge. The room was beautifully decorated with gold chrysanthemums and autumn leaves. Airs. Sutherland received her guests wearing a black and oriental crepe de chine frock. The prizes went to Airs. T. Taylor and Aliss Cox. Those present were: Alesdames London, Jennins, T. Taylor. FAREWELL TO AIISS SWAYNE A party to bid farewell to Miss Swayne, who is leaving Cambridge for Australia, was given by Mrs. Sam Lewis, Cambridge, when she entertained about 50 guests. Airs. Lewis was wearing a beige coloured georgette and lace frock, and Aliss IL Lewis wore blue floral georgette. Airs. Rush was the winner oi an advertisement competition. The afternoon tea tables were prettily decorated with crimson and old gold flowers and autumn leaves. Aliss Swayne was presented with a handsome suitcase by Airs. Lewis, on behalf of those present. The room was gaily decorated with the club's colours, and music was supplied by the Maritza Orchestra. The dance was a great success, many thanks being accorded to the committee. Airs. Neilsen. Frank Cooper at their home in C'audelamls ' on Friday night to bid them farewell prior to tlieir departure for Christ- ! church. j Games and competitions spent a very : enjoyable evening. Miss S. Coker and Air. E. Hunt being the winners of the competitions. Air. AI. Rosie presented : Air. and Airs. Cooper with a silver sugar basin and cream jug, and in expressing regret at their departure wished them every happiness in their j new home. A dainty supper was served, and the evening was brought to an end by the singing of “Auld Lang Syne.” Airs. Cooper wore a charming beige georgette frock to receive the guests.
