WHANGAREI WEDDING
TUBER ROSES AND CARNATIONS ARE CARRIED BY BRIDE TIMEWELL—McGREGOR A pretty wedding was celebrated at Christ Church, AA'hangarei, when Ellen Doris, only daughter of Air. and Airs. D. K. AlcGregor, Donald Street, Whangarei, was married to Alortimer Roy, second son of Air. and the late Airs. AV. UY Timewell, Otaika Road, Whangarei. The Rev. H. T. Steele officiated at the ceremony and Air. A. Alarsden Woods presided at the organ. The service was fully choral, the bride being a member of the choir for a number of years. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a frock of ivory georgette, cut in long flowing lines fitting the hips and finished at the waist with a georgette rose and silver lace. Her exquisite embroidered tulle veil formed a long train, which was held in place on the head by a coronet of orange blossoms and arranged with tiny sprays at lie sides. She carried a beautiful shower bouquet composed of tuber roses, carnations and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaids in attendance were Aliss Hilda Woodall (Devonport) and Aliss May Couton (AA'hangarei), both wearing dainty frocks of delphinium blue georgette and carrying bouquets of autumn-tinted flowers. The bridegroom was attended by Air. Jack Alurdock as best man and Air. Eric Timewell, brother of the bridegroom, as groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held in the Parochial Hall, where the bride’s mother received her guests in a smart navy crepe satin frock relieved with fawn and she carried a scarlet bouquet.
