MOTOR CAMPS

PROVISION ON NORTH SHORE SEVERAL POSSIBLE SITES The desirability of having a motor camp at Devonport was urged by Air. S. E. Kennings, at a meeting of the Waitemata Chamber of Commerce, at Devonport last evening. On recent motor trips through the North Island ho said that he had been surprised at the number of motor camps and the provision for motorists in this respect. Air. T. Walsh said the New Zealand Tourist League had been trying for four years to arrange a suitable camp sito in Devonport and now was able to formulate a plan for one. Tf the co-operation of tho Devonport Domain Board and the North Shore Rugby Union could be secured there was a really ideal location at the back of the football domain close to beaches* and all other facilities.

A site at Takapuna was being sought and areas at Birkenhead and Northcote could b© utilised. The North Shore Expansion League was interesting itself in the subject.
