ALL NIGHT PRAYERS

GRANGE ROAD CHURCH More than 100 persons were in the Grange Road Church at midnight last evening when the Rev. Evan R. Harries took oyer the latter part of the allnight intercession service. A line of cars, with radiators gleaming in the rain, was in the road. People filed into the church until a late hour. It was not until early morning that overcoated figures emerged from the church on their way home. At 4 a.m. there were still 14 cars and at 6 o’clock, scores of people, loth to conclude the session, remained in the building. Remarkable intensity of feeling characterised the service. It was thought that the severe weather conditions would affect the attendance but there was no diminution. A notable feature of the mission was the presence of a large number of young men of athletic appearance, who followed the prayers earnestly. At the eai'lier service, Mr. C. J. Rolls, dean of the Bible Training Institute, gave an address, during which lie emphasised the importance of holding protracted seasons of prayer. Mr. Harry Dawson conducted the meeting. Next week is to be given largely to prayer, culminating on Friday with an address at 8 p.m. by Mr. C. J. Rolls, and at 11 p.m. by the Rev. E. R. Harries. During the week Mr Dawson will conduct prayer meetings at the Y.M.C.A.
